About

Specializing in EMDR, CBT, and Object Relations

My clinical experience has been focused on issues of trauma, grief, sexual abuse, domestic violence, healthy relationships, addictions, dual diagnosis, substance abuse and PTSD. I offer a wide range of clinical services which include assessments, evaluations, group, individual, couples, and family counseling. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults.

I have worked in the mental health field since 2014. I hold a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with training certificates in Objects Relations, DBT and EMDR. For ten years I have served as a facilitator of grief groups for the University of Utah Caring Connection and have worked with youth involved in the justice system, along with the public with talking circles and sweat lodges. I work with a non-profit counseling center and in private practice. I have presented and been involved with various organizations linked to suicide prevention, grief and trauma.

I work with my clients from a theoretical orientation of counseling that blends psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral theories, solution focused, humanistic and client centered models. What this means is that I believe in assisting and guiding in the process of your own journey of discovery and solutions, not dictating it.
My personality is very laid back. I have been described as a compassionate, friendly, open, and caring individual. My motto is “have the courage to walk the path that brings you the most happiness and joy with self-compassion”.
