EMDR

Very useful therapy for trauma. It is a comprehensive client centered psychotherapy approach that activates the client’s own information processing system in the brain. It is an eight-phase protocol that uses bilateral stimulation. Bilateral stimulation being eye movement or vibrating bilateral stimulation paddles. There has been extensive research which has shown this type of counseling to be very effective for the treatment of trauma.
